Project Empower
Project Empower is a caregiver educational workshop series focused on sickle cell disease plays a vital role in supporting caregivers, improving care quality, fostering community, raising awareness, and empowering advocacy efforts within the sickle cell disease community.
A series of workshops designed for our caregivers
Since 2022, we are please to offer a series of workshops designed with our caregivers in mind. Parents, guardians, spouses, partners, adult children…if you care for someone with sickle cell disease, Project Empower is for you. We were able to initiate this program through supported by a connected communities grant by Central Carolina Community Foundation.
We want to empower our caregivers with the tools to enable them to be even stronger advocates for their warrior.
Join us for an enriching event
We will host monthly meetings both virtual and in person at a time and location identified to participants. Each participant will receive a caregiver toolkit and for in person meetings, be provided with a meal as well as assistance with gas and childcare.
